In my opinion Bill Hicks is the greatest comedian of all time but he was unfortunately taken way before his time. Bill has been gone for over 16 years now, and what a shame because the world could use a sense of humor like his these days. If you have never heard Bill Hicks then you are truly missing out, so you should watch these vids and the many others you can find on YouTube or at Sacred Cow‘s website. If you have never heard him and listen to the band Tool you would recognize him from the samples they used of Bill on Aenima and even in some of Maynard’s lyrics, the songs inspired by Bill are “Aenima” and “Third Eye”. Tool also had Bill open for them on the 1993 Lollapalooza tour because they were huge fans and recognized his genius. Here are a few of my favorite clips of Bill, but there are so many more great ones out there.

Bill was supposed to appear on Letterman shortly before he died and before the show aired the whole segment Bill recorded was pulled because they said it was too controversial. This segment being pulled was very controversial and Bill was extremely pissed about it along with all of his fans. Below is the exact same routine he did on the Letterman show, and you will see there is nothing wrong with. The master copy from the Letterman show was destroyed and the only copy of it was sent to his mother.
