I have been a big fan and user of Digg since I first joined in early 2007. I used to just visit and read the stories but never submitted anything until early 2009. I started submitting a lot and enjoyed the site more than ever. That was until they made the big change last year, and that is when I left for a while. I returned a few months after when they started improving it and bringing back old features that were essential to the site. I do enjoy the site again but i still do not understand why there is not a duplicate story checker like there used to be. The old one wasn’t great, but it was something. Now I am seeing the same stories being subbed a ridiculous amount of times and what makes it even more interesting is seeing the same stories hitting the front page within a short time of one another. The image below is a perfect example of this and is definitely a huge fail on Diggs part. Hopefully we will see a new and improved duplicate content checker, because it is needed more than ever.

I think it’s funnier that all these people are helping to dig for this dead guy.
My spouse and I stumbled over here coming from a different website and thought I may as well check things out. I like what I see so now i’m following you. Look forward to finding out about your web page repeatedly….
